Discovering Riva del Garda's historic center

Riva del Garda is a true gem, where the deep blue of the lake meets the green of the mountains. Here, every corner has stories to tell, and every stroll offers postcard-perfect views. 1. The historic center

Just a 15-minute walk from the hotel, the heart of Riva del Garda is a maze of cobbled alleys, elegant squares and lively porticoes. Walk slowly, check out the shops, treat yourself to a homemade gelato, coffee, or drink overlooking the lake. Piazza Erbe, Viale Dante, and Via Fiume are the best places to shop.

2. The Rocca and the MAG – Museo Alto Garda

This square-shaped fortress surrounded by water is none other than Riva del Garda Castle. This medieval fortification houses the MAG, a museum dedicated to the history, art and traditions of the area. The park just in front has beautiful views over the lake.

3. Apponale Tower

One of the symbols of Riva del Garda, this 13th-century tower stands tall in Piazza III Novembre. It is 34 meters tall and offers a 360° view of the lake, the mountains and the historic center.

4. The Bastion

Just a few minutes from the center, the Bastion is an imposing 16th-century Venetian fortification that dominates Riva from above. It can be reached via a pleasant panoramic walk or a convenient elevator. The terrace has spectacular views of the city and the lake.

5. The Lakefront and Beaches

From the hotel, you can easily walk to the lakefront, perfect for a romantic sunset stroll. Along the way, you'll find well-equipped beaches and green spaces where you can relax in the sun, rest on a bench or go for a swim.

6. Hikes and views

If you love walking, don't miss the Sentiero del Ponale, one of Garda's most famous trails with spectacular lake views. Alternatively, hike up to the Church of Santa Barbara to admire Riva from above.

7. Events and appointments
